Protection Setup List

Protection setups define how you want to control access to protected resources. You can use the Document Protection form to associate any named protection setup with a URL request template. The server will then activate the protection defined in the setup when it receives requests matching the template.

All of your named protection setups are listed on this form. You can use this form to create a new named protection setup, modify an existing one, or remove an existing one.

To add a new named protection setup:

  1. Select Add.
  2. Enter the name you want to give the new protection setup in the field next to the Add button.
  3. Click on Apply to update your server with the changes you made to the form.

Click on Reset if you want to return to the values that were on the form before you made changes.

  4. Clicking on Apply, takes you to the Protection Setup form where you can define the new protection setup.

To modify a named protection setup:

  1. In the list of named setups, select the one you want to modify.
  2. Select Modify selected.
  3. Click on Apply.
  4. Clicking on Apply, takes you to the Protection Setup form, which will be filled in with the current values of the protection setup you selected. From the Protection Setup form you can modify the protection setup.

To remove an existing protection setup:

  1. In the list of named setups, select the one you want to modify.
  2. Select Remove selected.
  3. Click on Apply to remove the setup.
  4. After removing an existing protection setup, you need to use the Document Protection form to either delete any document protection definitions that were using the setup, or modify the document protection definitions to use another protection setup.
